A visit to one of the Haymarket Theatres provided inspiration for a quick sketch of the fantastic paintings and architecture before the show started. Later I visited the British Museum where I saw how Toulouse Lautrec tackled the subject with the minimum of line and colour in La Loge au Macaron Dore.
